We are going to open up the resources of the solar system to the rest of humanity. Having more cobalt, nickel, platinum and other such materials in circulation will help accelerate the push towards renewables here on Earth. As a result, batteries will be cheaper, children won’t have to mine, and we won’t need to fight over such resources.
We gained space heritage on January 13th 2022 on board the LAIKA satellite. Our rendezvous thrusters use a solid metal propellant to perform precise manoeuvres such as rendezvous, proximity operations and docking (RPOD), eliminating the need for pressurised tanks, plumbing and leaks.
